Manually Update Drivers

Instructions for manually updating device drivers in Windows

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Right Click “This PC”
3. Left Click “Properties”
4. Scroll Down to, and Click on “Device Manager”
5. Find the non-working device in Device Manager, it should have a Yellow Triangle Next to it
6. Right Click the non-working device
7. Left click “Update Driver”
8. Left click “Browse my computer for drivers”
9. Left click “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”
10. Uncheck “Show Compatible Hardware”
11. Find potential manufacturers in the list of manufacturers
12. Left click the manufacturer
13. Choose potential alternative devices on the right
14. Left click potentially compatible device
15. Click Next
16. If it works, great. We’re done
17. If not, try the next device in the list, and repeat this process until you have checked all devices for all manufacturers.
